Accounting Officer, Responsibility, Operations, Management, Oversight

The Administrator, Mrs. Claire Davidson-Williams, serves as the Accounting Officer with responsibility for the supervising the work of the Division.  The Administrator reports to the Chief Administrator and ensures the work programmes of the respective units are efficiently and effectively implemented. All Departments are managed by the Administrator through their respective unit heads.

Claire Davidson-Williams has committed her professional pursuits to providing support for strategic thinking, effective policy development and to facilitating efficient performance for the achievement of goals, improved quality of work-life and effective service delivery.

She has years of experience as a management specialist providing consultancy in organizational development, business expansion and development.   She has also been lecturing at the undergraduate level for over twelve years in subject areas such as Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Business Law, Organizational Behaviour, Industrial Relations/Negotiation Skills and Critical Thinking.

Prior to this appointment as Administrator, she was Senior Investigator, Head Office of the Ombudsman in Port of Spain; Protocol Officer to the Chief Secretary; Executive Assistant (Human Resource Management) in the Office of the Chief Administrator; and held a range of junior clerical positions.

Her greatest professional challenge and achievement, came with a promotion as Investigator in 2002 and charged with the responsibility to coordinate the establishment of the first Office of the Ombudsman in Tobago.

Her academic training includes a Masters in International Management from the University of Phoenix, Arizona USA, a Bachelors Degree Management (Special) and a Certificate in Public Administration from the University of the West Indies, St Augustine.   She also has professional certifications from Caribbean Leadership Project (CLP); Public Administration International, London UK and the International Program for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET), Canada; completed the Stitt Feld Handy Group syllabus in Mediation and Advance Dispute Resolution (ADR) under the University of Windsor, Canada to become a Certified Mediator by the Mediation Board of Trinidad and Tobago in 2012; and is also an External Evaluator for the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago.
